F2C Nutrition Products I Use and Recomend

The following is a description of which products I use from F2C Nutrition and how I use them in my own personal nutrition plan. My nutrition plan includes much more than supplements. These are used as just that, supplements. The foundation of my nutrition is eating whole, minimally processed food most of the time. I do the best I can do with 2 young boys at home who sometimes only want to eat mac n' cheese and raman noodles. 

Moderate to High Intensity Rides of 1 hour to 2 hours

Glyco-Durance is my go to supplement during rides over an hour. It provides 25g of carbohydrates per scoop and enough of electrolytes for most to replace what is lost in sweat. If you don't like really strong flavours and sweetness in your drink, consider combining a scoop of flavoured Glyco-Durance and a scoop of Glyco-Durance Raw (no flavour) to not allow your taste buds to get too excited.

If it's an extra hot day, or you're a salty sweater, I add a scoop or 2 of Electro-Durance to your water bottle.

Electrolyte consumption can be very personal considering the amount of Sodium lost in a litre of sweat can range from 200mg to 2,000mg.

Short (<90min) low intensity ride 

I reach for Hydra-Durance for it's lower calories and less intense flavour why still having an appropriate level of electrolytes to replace what is lost through sweating.

Long Epic Ride

Endurance 5:1 with it's added protein help up the calories and starts working on repairing muscle recovery before your ride is complete.

Post Ride or Training Session

Rehab 3:1 Complete has the carbs and protein needed to kick start the recovery process after a ride or training session. It does not replace a complete whole food meal. It's great way to get nutrition immediately after when you may not feel like eating a full meal. There is also A Vegan option available

Increase Daily Protein Intake

Sometimes it's hard to eat enough protein through lean meats or plant based protein sources to meet what your body requires while training and riding hard from day to day. F2C has several protein options to supplement your protein intake. Whey-Pure and Pharma-Pure are high quality whey proteins that taste great and have a nice smooth texture. For those who follow a vegan diet or digestive tract does not tolerate whey (like mine) the Vegan-Pure is a great plant based protein powder.

Daily Hydration

My go to morning routine is a scoop of Electro-Durance with a squirt of lime juice in 500mL of water before I take my first sip of Java. I even add it to water I sip during the day if I have let my hydrating habits slip to make sure my body doesn't get low in electrolytes.

Winter Strength Training

During the winter when my volume and intensity of weight training is at it's highest I use Kre-Alkalyn Creatine to support the anaerobic energy system. Creatine helps replenish the high octane ATP-CP system during high intensity intervals and lifting sets.
